2009 Junior Cyclocross Camp
The American Cycling Association 2009 Junior Cyclocross (CX) Camp will be held in Lafayette, CO at the Alexander Dawson School. Food services will be catered by Food Stuff Etc.
Our head coach is Ann Trombley. Ann began Mountain biking in 1984 in Marin Country California and has been racing CX since 1997. After Graduating with a Master in Physical Therapy in 1994 she decided she wanted to try Mountain Bike racing. She quickly moved up the ranks to Pro and was named national champion in short track in 2000, which was the same year she was named to the Olympic Team. Ann competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney Australia. After the Olympics, Ann retired from Professional Mt bike racing to get back to her Physical Therapy practice and begin her coaching career. She wrote a book in 2005 titled "Serious Mountain biking". Ann continues to race on occasion but you can find her mostly running from the start of a race to the feed zone and back, encouraging the athletes she coaches to race to their potential and beyond.
The focus of this camp is skill development. Come to camp prepared to ride. Ideally, participants will bring their CX bikes, but mountain bikes work too - Please remove bar ends though.
We will be sleeping on the floor in 2 different gymnasiums (gender appropriate accommodations). A list of items to bring will soon be available, but for now be prepared with a bedroll, such as a sleeping bag and pad (or cot), and towels.
$75 Includes Friday night and Saturday night luxurious floor accommodations and meals. Food Stuff, etc. will cater breakfast, lunch; and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Please let Clint know if you have any food issues.
