Boulder Winter Bike to Work Day

01/20/2010 - 18:02
America/Denver

Reminder, tomorrow is Winter Bike to Work Day! Much like the very popular Bike to Work Day which usually takes place in June, this one happens in winter. Contrary to belief, biking in winter is easier than one might think. With the exception of Blizzard days, crazy cold or evil wind day, its pretty easy with usually the hardest task of not getting your body to work but you stuff and that holds true just as much in the summer. The weather forecast looks good however there might be some snow on the ground Wednesday, but have little fear, many will see just how well the city keeps many of its bike paths free over the winter.

TONIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20 PERCENT CHANCE OF SNOW. LOWS
IN THE LOWER 20S.
WEDNESDAY...PARTLY SUNNY. HIGHS AROUND 40.

When:
On Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 GO Boulder is hosting its second annual Winter Bike to Work Day. The day will include free breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the locations listed below.

Why Register:
Make your trip count! Registration for the event begins January 4, 2010. Please do take a minute to register, this helps organizers to know how many people participated and enables us to calculate the contribution you and this event make toward reducing emissions. You will also be entered into a drawing for fabulous prizes including bike socks, lights and studded snow tires!
