Beti Bike Bash Regitstration: Mother's Day Gift Perfection

Mother's Day. It's the day where all moms out there want to be pampered and loved. But for moms who ride their bikes, this can mean a slightly...altered version of the traditional Mother's Day gifts. If you haven't thought about what you are going to get for the female in your life who matches that criteria, I know I said not to panic, but a little panic at this point is necessary. Now breathe. We can fix it.

The Beti Bike Bash is right around the corner. One could argue (well, I know at least two who could argue--Cheri Felix, plus myself) that no other race has done more for getting women racing that the Beti Bike Bash. Now going into it's fifth year it promises to be better than ever. And that says a lot because years 1-4 were pretty amazing.

Now back to the Mother's Day dilemma.
Here is a quick quiz:
Do you...

  • love your wife/partner/mother/sister?
  • want to give her a gift that shows how much she is loved and appreciated for being strong, lovely and amazing?
  • want to empower her on the bike?
  • want her to get out there and meet OTHER women who ride their bikes?
  • think she's "race curious" but she says she could "never do that?"

If you answered "yes" to 2 or more of the questions above, you should click on the link and SIGN HER UP FOR THE RACE. If you think she'd get completely freaked out by this bold move, there's option b. Print off the race registration, wrap it up in a box with a Salted Caramel GU (delicious) and some new mountain bike gloves and give it to her on Mother's Day.

Tell her you will gladly watch the kids that day. In fact, you'll watch them the evening of May 22nd so she can go pre-ride the course with the Yeti Beti's. You'll take the kids on June 1st to her race and cheer her on. Tell her she means the world to you and you want her to believe in herself. She'll be surrounded by other women who are just as nervous and excited and it will be amazing. *Plus, Larry Grossman will be the race announcer, so he'll make her feel like the racing Rock-star she IS.
