Longmont get BookCycle for outreach program

It was designed and built by Joe Crennen, who owns Pedal Positive in Englewood. Crennen also designed a similar bike for the Denver Public Library, said Elektra Greer, head of the library's children and teens department.

The bike is easy to spot with red pinwheels on the handlebars, a red and white striped mailbox attached to the front and a bubble machine on top of the storage bin — accessories that can be removed when the bike is used for adult programming.

At the BookCycle the public can get library cards, access the bike's Wi-Fi and participate in story times, Greer said.
